Our Focus Challenge for this month is to get out in NATURE.
It is true that our world is full of wonders and natural beauty that never cease to amaze us. From the majestic mountains to the vast oceans, there is always something new to discover and explore. There are so many reasons to be grateful for the amazing creations that were made just for us to enjoy and take care of.
Make time to get out in nature this month! EVERY DAY! This could involve taking a walk in a park, hiking in the woods, or just spending time in your backyard. Whatever works for you!
What Can I Do to Get Outside More?
Spending time in nature has numerous benefits for both our physical and mental health. I believe that most of us are very well aware of the fact that getting outside is a beneficial practice. Here are some ideas to help you get started on your daily nature routine:
- Take a walk in a nearby park or nature reserve
- Go for a hike in the mountains or hills if you have access to them
- Take a bike ride on a nature trail
- Find a quiet spot to meditate or do yoga outdoors
- Have a picnic in a scenic location
- Start a garden or tend to your plants if you have any
- Go birdwatching or wildlife spotting
No matter what activity you choose, make sure to take the time to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you. Your mind and body will thank you for it!
Taking a moment to appreciate these gifts from nature can also help us cultivate a sense of gratitude and contentment in our daily lives.

This month, I did so much better getting outside each day. One of my favorite things this month is when my boys came in from our trail my husband cleared for us on our land. They were so excited to share that they had found a Box Turtle out there as they were walking around. I joined them and was able to take time to enjoy one of the endless wonders of creation for a brief moment.
I also took a few pictures of the little guy because it was so CUTE!!!

This challenge has been slightly more difficult to take part in. We came home to the North after visiting family in the warmth of the South for the past few weeks, but we managed to make it happen and had the best time! It’s been warming up and the snow has been melting very quickly!
We enjoyed walking the dog with Grandpa during his visit, as well as riding bikes and shoveling bits of ice and snow off of the driveway. No one wanted to go inside! Such simple pleasures become extra exciting after months of only occasional bike rides in the garage and walks while wearing full snow gear! Although, those are super fun memories, too!
